Verification of 2016/2017 Federal Government Scholarship award Beneficiaries

From all indications, the Honourable Minister will soon approve verification of all 2016-2017 ongoing federal Government Scholarship Award beneficiaries. Consequently , Federal Scholarship Board has concluded arrangement for the verification exercise to commence very soon.

As part of eligibility requirement for the continuation of the award programme, undergraduate candidates in universities are expected to have a minimum CGPA of 4.00 in their previous sessional examination, while NCE and HND candidates should have a minimum of 3.5 CGPA. Similarly, Postgraduate candidates should have a minimum of 2nd Class Upper Division in their First degree.
In view of the above, officers of Federal Scholarship Board would be visiting your institution from the approved date to conduct a verification of the On-going scholarship awardees to determine scholars that are still in school and those that have graduated, as well as collect the list of the qualified candidates with their CGPA.
The Verification exercise is scheduled as follows.

Awardees are expected to appear before the team with an item of identification.
